These series of photographs
were taken from 2003 - 2005.
I used a Nikon F601 with 28-70 Nikkor objective and the
occasional polarising filter. About half the
photographs were shot from
a tripod.

I
generally
used Fuji
Sensia slidefilm,
but often chose
Velvia when venturing
into Thailand's nature, and also Provia slidefilm to expose to temples.

The Thailand that is portrayed in these photographs
is mostly the "ordinary" side
of Thailand.

It
is virtually
impossible for
a foreigner, with a very limited and often
unintelligible vocabulary, to completely avoid "the beaten track" when moving around in Thailand,
but because of the length of my stay I encountered nature and people most visitors
don't see.

Since
photography, or even art
wasn't the sole purpose of my stay in Thailand,
and finding myself somewhat
limited
by

budget-
considerations,
I couldn't photograph quite as
much as i would have liked to. But I did stumble upon some fine Art,
and hope these series of
photographs
will give
you

a
taste of
the beauty
of Thai life, and
some less often talked-about nooks and crannies
of the kingdom of Thailand.
